Description
Five minutes and a kettle. Pour boiling water over the dry mix, cover, wait, and you have a warm meal to spoon over your bird's food.
Worldly Cuisines are gourmet grain blends — a topper and a treat, not a complete diet. What they are actually for is the bird that has eaten the same dry food from the same bowl every day for years and has stopped finding mealtimes interesting. Warm food is a genuinely different experience for a parrot, and this is the least effortful way to provide one.
The two blends

How to prepare it
- Boil 7 oz of water.
- Measure out 4.3 oz of the dry mix.
- Pour the boiling water over, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
- Let it cool to warm — never hot — and serve 2–3 tablespoons per bird over the daily food.
Refrigerate what is left for up to five days. Remove uneaten portions from the cage within about five hours — cooked food in a warm room does not keep.

Note the fat: African Sunset at 8% (the nuts), Tuscan Dream at 2%. If your bird is watching its weight, Tuscan Dream is much the lighter of the two.
Questions we get asked
Is this a meal or a treat?
A topper. Higgins and the major retailers class it as a gourmet appetiser served over the daily diet, 2–3 tablespoons per bird. It is not nutritionally complete on its own.
Can I eat it?
People do ask. It is made to pet food standards, not human food standards, so no — though it is a reasonable sign of how ordinary the ingredients are that the question comes up.
Can I add my own vegetables?
Yes, and many people do. Stir fresh chopped vegetables through the warm blend and you have made chop with far less effort.
My bird won't touch new food.
Warm food often gets through where dry food does not — it is closer to what a parent bird delivers. Start with a spoonful on top of the usual bowl and let the bird investigate in its own time. Eating some yourself in front of them, theatrically, works more often than it has any right to.
How long does 13 oz last?
Each preparation uses about 4.3 oz dry, so roughly three batches per bag — and one batch feeds a single bird several times.
