Description
The same pressed "work 'n chew" square as the Classic Avi-Cake, with real dried fruit through the seed side — cranberries, dates, mango, papaya and pineapple — and 50% balanced pellets making up the rest.
It is a complete diet, not a treat, which is the point worth understanding. Fruity bird foods are usually treats sold at treat prices; this one your bird can live on.

Ingredients
Small Bird: soybean meal, ground corn, canary grass seed, red millet, white proso millet, wheat flour, maltodextrin, dried fruit (papayas, mangoes, pineapples, dates, cranberries), hulled oats, corn syrup, peanuts, sucrose, dicalcium phosphate, ground limestone, glycerin, canola oil, hydrolysed soy protein, agar, iodised salt, ground rice, choline chloride, DL-methionine, corn oil, L-lysine, citric acid, chelated manganese, zinc and copper, acacia gum, and a full stabilised vitamin pack.
Parrot: the same idea led by ground corn, red millet and canary grass seed, with safflower added.
Naturally preserved and flavoured. Non-GMO formula. Omega-3 and omega-6 balanced.
How much to feed
Lafeber do not publish a per-day amount for Avi-Cakes, and we are not going to invent one. Feed to the bird: weigh weekly on a gram scale and adjust. Greens, vegetables and some fruit at around 20% of the daily diet alongside.
Questions we get asked
Fruit Delight or Tropical Fruit Nutri-Berries?
Similar fruit, different format. The Nutri-Berry is a loose round berry; this is a pressed cake that takes longer to break down. If your bird eats too fast, the cake is the better buy.
Is it a complete diet?
Yes. Lafeber describe it as nutritionally complete.
Will the sugar in the dried fruit hurt my bird?
Dried fruit is concentrated, which is why it is a proportion of the cake rather than the whole thing. Fed as directed it is not a concern; fed as an unlimited bowl alongside everything else, anything is.
How do I serve it?
Wedged between cage bars or on a skewer works far better than flat in a dish — the bird has to brace against something to break bits off.
