Almost every bird treat on the shelf is held together with corn syrup. Nuggies are not — and that is the whole point of them.
Harrison's built Nuggies as the first certified organic, seed-based treat with balanced nutrition behind it, so you can reward a bird without undoing the diet you have spent six months getting it onto. They also happen to be the thing that gets a lot of birds over the line during a pellet conversion, because a bird will take a Nuggie when it will not take a nugget.

Ingredients
Millet, oat groats, canary seed, hull-less barley, honey, sunflower kernels, toasted soybeans, corn, coconut glycerin, peanut kernels, peas, sunflower lecithin, sucrose, lentils, brown rice, alfalfa, chia, calcium carbonate, psyllium, vitamin and mineral supplement, dried kelp, salt, bentonite, dried algae. No corn syrup.
Good for training
A treat only works for training if it is small, quick to eat and worth having. Nuggies are all three, and unlike a nut or a sunflower seed you can use a handful across a session without worrying about the fat.
Questions we get asked
Can I feed Nuggies instead of pellets?
No — they are a treat, not a complete diet. The one exception is an active conversion, where Harrison's permit free feeding.
My bird is on a diet. Are these safe?
At 10% fat they are far lighter than nuts or sunflower. Stick to the counts above and talk to your vet about the overall plan.
Do they contain sugar?
Honey and a small amount of sucrose, which is what binds them. No corn syrup, which is the usual offender in bird treats.
How long does a bag last?
A 6.9 oz bag runs a single cockatiel a good couple of months at one a day.
