Common questions
My bird won't touch it. Almost always because it was made too hard too fast. Start with every drawer wide open and the food visible. Close them a little more each day. Rushing this is the single most common reason a puzzle feeder ends up in a cupboard.
Can I feed a whole meal from it? Once the bird is confident, yes — many owners move part of the daily ration into a puzzle. Never make a bird that hasn't learned it yet work for its only food.
Is acrylic safe? Yes. These are solid moulded acrylic with no small parts to break off, which is why they hold up to large parrots that destroy wood and palm.
How do I clean it? Warm water and a bottle brush. No harsh detergents — rinse thoroughly and dry before refilling.
Worth the money if you use it properly
These cost more than a shredding toy up front and are far cheaper over a year, because they don't get destroyed. The catch is that they only work if you keep raising the difficulty. A puzzle a bird solved six months ago is just an awkward food bowl.
