The sizes differ mainly in length, so check your cage height before ordering the Large — 32 inches needs real vertical room.

How does it compare to a palm pinata? Tougher and slower to destroy. A bird that finishes a palm toy in a day will usually get several days out of a Cocotte.
Good for a bored bird? This is exactly the situation it's best in. Novelty of texture is a real thing with parrots — they investigate what they don't recognise.
Can I hide treats in it? Yes. Push millet or nuts down into the fibre and it becomes a foraging toy as well.
Is the fibre safe? Natural plant fibre with bird-safe colourants. Birds shred rather than swallow it.
