Common questions
How long do these last? Weeks rather than days for most birds — that's the point of the wood tier. A determined macaw will still get through a Large in a fortnight.
Is chewing hardwood bad for a beak? No, the opposite. Beaks grow continuously and chewing is how a bird keeps its own in shape. A bird with nothing hard to chew is more likely to end up needing a beak trim.
Are the dyes safe? Yes — bird-safe colourants throughout. They will fade as the toy is worked.
My bird just chews the rope. Common at first. Once the rope knots loosen, the blocks start moving and most birds transfer their attention to the wood.

If your bird destroys toys quickly, size up rather than buying two of the smaller one. Bigger blocks take disproportionately longer to get through, and you'll spend less over a year.
