Description
The toys a bird picks up and holds
Foot toys are the ones your bird carries to a perch, grips in one foot, and works over with its beak. Every parrot species that eats with its foot does this, and a cage with nothing loose in it gives them nowhere to put that instinct.
They are also the cheapest enrichment you can buy — a handful lasts weeks and keeps a bird busy between the bigger hanging toys.

Common questions
Do I hang these? No — that is the point. Put them in a shallow dish or scatter them on the cage floor and let your bird choose one.
Won't they just get thrown out of the cage? Constantly. Throwing is part of the play. Buy a multipack and expect to pick them up.
Are they safe if swallowed? Palm leaf with food-grade vegetable dye. Birds shred rather than eat it, and small pieces pass through.
Which size for a bird between categories? Go smaller for foot toys, not bigger — the bird needs to be able to hold it in one foot.
Start with a multipack
Buy a 3-pack rather than a single. Losing one behind the furniture is not a problem when you have two more, and you can keep a spare in rotation.
