It is a useful two-in-one if cage space is tight and you cannot fit another hanging toy.

Common questions
Should this be my bird's only perch? No. Keep it as an additional perch. Birds need a range of diameters and textures to keep their feet healthy, and this one is designed to be chewed apart.
Varied perch texture matters? Yes. A bird standing on one identical dowel all day puts pressure on the same points of the foot every time. Different diameters and surfaces are standard avian husbandry advice.
How do I fill it? Push treats into the woven pockets along the body. Start with the ends where they are easiest to spot.
Where to put it
Mid-cage, between the food bowl and the favourite perch — right on the route your bird already walks several times a day.
