Common questions
What should I put inside? Start with something your bird already loves and can smell — almonds in the shell, millet spray, dried fruit. Once the bird understands the toy, mix in plain shredded paper so the search takes longer.
My bird ignores it. Nearly always a setup problem. Leave the toy half-open on the first fill so the treats are visible, and hang it beside a perch the bird already uses. Most birds engage within a day or two.
