Common questions
Is this different from the regular pinata? Yes — the tentacles give a bird something to pull on from any angle, which suits birds that lose interest in a plain hanging shape.
How long does it last? Two to five days of active chewing for a medium parrot. Shredding is the intended use.
Safe for a nervous bird? Very. There is nothing rigid or noisy about it. Hang it a little away from the main perch for a day or two and most cautious birds approach on their own.
A tip that makes a difference
Weave a piece of millet spray through two of the tentacles the first time you hang it. The bird finds the reward, learns the toy is worth investigating, and engages with every one you hang afterwards.
